Hello!

 I'm Lauren (the one on the right).

That's Sam on the left - smearing wedding cake on my face. Anyway, the point is he's my husband, and I think he is the best.

Currently, we are both graduate students in the great city of Dallas, TX. While we spend fall through spring hanging out with friends and hitting the books in a thriving metropolitan area, we are small town Nebraska farmers in the summer. Quite the contrast, but we love it!

We enjoy being in the outdoors, sharing a good meal with good friends, deep conversations, documentaries, watching our corn grow tall, visiting our families, cooking, laughing, grabbing coffee with friends, good photography, snow cones (is it just me, or is this sounding like an online dating ad?), and spending time on our knees together before our Creator.

This blog is written primarily for our family, who is spread out all over the country, but it is also intended for anyone else who finds it interesting. So, feel free to thumb (or scroll) through it!

In case you were wondering, I quickly forgave him for the "cake smear" incident - and we made up. See?
